LA Locura De Fidel Castro (Coleccion Cuba Y Sus Jueces)
Published in Paperback by Ediciones Universal (April, 1996)
Author: Gustavo Adolfo Marin
Average review score:

TheTruth
This amazing book gives a firsthand account of the author's collaboration, friendship, and ultimate betrayal as a one-time close associate of the infamous Fidel Castro. This book reveals truths about the rise of communism and its implications that are unknown to many not familiar with the true story of lies, deceit, and political intrigue that underlie his revolution. If you want the truth about how a country ninety miles from American soil became enshrouded by the shadow of communism, you will not find a more intimate point of view. This historical work contains many truths which have been obscured by the passage of time and the puppetmasters of international policy. Cuba's importance in the affairs of the western hemisphere can not be understated. If you are one who seeks the truth, it is to be found in this book. This man gave his life for the cause of freedom.

Los peor
Published in Unknown Binding by Farben Grupo Editorial Norma ()
Author: Fernando Contreras Castro

The Best about The Worst.
With "Los Peor" (The Worsts, as in the family) Fernando Contreras gives us one of, if not THE most truthfull description of the costarican messed-up-self-identity-crisis. With their "Switzerland-of-Centralamerica" complex and their unique idea of what modern life is all about. The image of the cyclops, with that beautyfull big eye that pierces through you with the question of "What the...?", hurts. Contreras, I bow my head to your style. With "Unica" first, this then, and "El Oscuro Recinto de la Oscuridad more recently, you wowed some of us, Thanks "mae".

The Major Abolitionist Poems (Garland Library of World Literature in Translation, Vol 5)
Published in Hardcover by Garland Pub (August, 1990)
Authors: Antonio De Castro Alves and Amy A. Peterson
Average review score:

Reading Castro Alves...
There are few literary experiences comparable to meet this brazilian author. This book is an excellent introduction to his abolitionist poems. The whole oeuvre of Castro Alves deserve attention, and in the wait of an extensive edition of its translated works, it could be illuminating to try the portuguese editions. Whitout forget the novelized biography of the poet by Jorge Amado, a classic on its own.

Have Fun Discovering Marine Biology
I am a high school student and this is a college course, and the only reason I am bought this book was because my school can't afford to supply the students with it. This book is great and is going to almost guarantee me a passing grade in my Marine Biology class. Although this is just an introduction book it is full of information and it is and interesting subject to study. Coming from a student I recommend this book to any Marine Biology teacher. This subject is overall fun and even if you are expecting to be something non-related to this subject when you choose your career this is still very educational.

Excellent book to be used as both a text and review source. Icons on the side of pages tend to be more distracting than helpful.

Netscape 2 for Windows: Visual Quickstart Guide (Visual Quickstart Guide)
Published in Paperback by Addison-Wesley Pub Co (May, 1996)
Author: Elizabeth Castro
Average review score:

Excellent textbook as it has clear step-by-step examples
Ideal for beginners and students in a classroom setting. I use this book in teaching an International Marketing using the Internet course http://nsccux.sccd.ctc.edu/~jleonard For students who have never used the Internet, it offers step-by-step examples of what to click on, where to enter information, and what will be seen. A lot of screen shots. Very good for exercises. It does not spend time on the history, gopher, archie, veronica and other OBSOLETE ways to use the Internet. Very specific for Netscape 2.0 (there is also a Netscape 3.0 version out) and even shows how to make simple web pages using Netscape Gold with the Netscape templates. Avoids HTML for the most part.

Netscape Communicator 4 for Windows: Visual QuickStart Guide
Published in Paperback by Peachpit Press (03 October, 1997)
Author: Elizabeth Castro
Average review score:

Excellent value, well-structured, easy reference..
After looking for a book on Communicator I was impressed by the presentation and especially the price of this one. After just about one-third through, I learned a fist-full of better ways to do things, and it confirms my initial instinct that this was a good buy, even though I've been using Navigator and now Communicator since version 2. I like the structure and approach taken; there are good references to other parts of the book, so there's not much repetition. The frequent groups of "Tips" are good and tons of illustrations back up the claim to being a Visual guide. Although I don't use NetCaster and I don't expect to use Conferencing, I'm looking forward to learning better ways to use mail and news from the rest of the book.
